The HLM cards have been out now for a while, and are beginning to get recognition as a useful learning design tool. But what have bloggers been saying about them?
By and large, the response has been very positive. One of the first bloggers to respond was Jim Judges of
Jim's e-learning blog - he commented that the Hybrid Learning Model is "well presented, nice and colourful and seems very teacher friendly" and would fit well when planning out learning.
Grainne Conole of
e4innovation.com had this to say: "nice, simple and effective by the look of it. I particularly like the idea of the design flashcards." Grainne is a professor of e-learning on the Open University website.
Geoff Petty also references the Hybrid Learning Model in his document,
Evidence Based ICT (Word document), calling the cards 'well detailed' in their approach.
All in all, commenters were positive in their reaction to the cards, and hopefully as word spreads there will be a lot more word-of-mouth referrals like this.
